Group O Uses iRise
0 Comments | Wireless News, Jul 30, 2010
iRise, a company involved in enterprise visualization solutions, announced that Group O, a provider of marketing, packaging and supply chain solutions is now using iRise to accelerate the design and delivery of customized consumer facing rebate and reward processing websites.
iRise visualizations are assembled by Group O to drive client engagement on customizations needed to the core Group O platform. Group O credits visualization with accelerating the design of the resulting websites by 30 percent-50 percent.
“Assembling an iRise visualization requires significantly less time than creating screen mock-ups with our old tools,” stated Monica Smith, business analyst at Group O. “We can use visualization to rapidly iterate directly in front of our clients, which speeds up the process even more. With iRise, we have dramatically improved engagement and communication which ensures high client satisfaction when we deliver exactly what they envisioned.”
According to company officials, Group O reward processing systems manage an environment where consumers can redeem offers, track shipping progress and refer a friend to receive similar rewards. Each customized Group O website is built on a common platform but often requires customizations to meet specific client needs. In the past, business analysts at Group O were forced to use text requirements and screen shot drawings to describe these customizations with their clients, which often led to miscommunication and project delays.
“Visualizations capture client attention much better than something static,” continued Smith. “Giving them the power to see and interact with the proposed system early in the process enables us to quickly converge on the right business requirements.”
Group O noted that the company’s analysts work together and capture feedback using the iRise Definition Center, a central repository that keeps the entire team on the same page. Commonly used visualization assets become templates stored and shared through the Definition Center, further speeding up the building of new visualizations and establishing a set of best practices that can be leveraged across multiple clients.
“iRise is now our single source of truth for the whole team,” continued Smith

Robin comes bouncing back

AFTER he suffered a stroke 12 years ago which was so devastating that he was not expected to live, the redoubtable Marquess of Tavistock has, I can reveal, suffered another equally severe stroke – but, against all the odds, he has recovered again.
Friends and family are astonished by his resilience, and says one pal: ‘He is absolutely fine now. Some people seem to think it was only a very mild stroke, but it wasn’t. It is quite incredible how he has bounced back. His relationship with his family has been totally transformed.’ Robin Tavistock, 60, whose family owns Woburn Abbey – set in 13,000 Bedfordshire acres with a safari park and a golf club featuring three championship courses – as well as a chunk of central London, was dining the other evening in Chelsea with his wife, former deb of the year Henrietta Tiarks.
She has been telling friends that Robin’s latest stroke was as severe as the previous one, after which doctors gave him only a 1pc chance of survival.
Instead, he recovered fully, after losing the
ability to speak, although he has no memory of his past life.
At dinner, Tavistock, who inherited Woburn in 1974 when his father, the Duke of Bedford, went into tax exile in Monaco with his French-born third wife Nicole, was abstemious in the extreme, although he allowed himself one glass of Sauterne with his pudding.
Following his first stroke, he

But we are in luck because the hybrids had DC motors in them too and need 0W-30 to lubricate and keep cool. Meaning the Oil Change Industry is safe still.
You have heard it said heat is the enemy, well in a DC Motor heat is very much the enemy and they usually are requiring a top brand synthetic like Mobil One. Amsoil is also hot on the scene with their formulas. Today you will not see a lot of fuel cells on the road they cost 6-10 times as much and there are few if any places to fill them up. Next year GM is introducing them to DC where there will be a fill up station and free cars for politicians to try them out.

Jobs pledge as pub group sells hotel lease to Travelodge
0 Comments | Derby Evening Telegraph, Jul 17, 2010
A DERBY hotel has been taken over by Travelodge.
The Innkeeper’s Lodge in Nottingham Road, Chaddesden, was one of 52 hotels leased by restaurant and pub operator Mitchells and Butlers.
Budget hotel chain Travelodge, which already has hotels at Kingsway and Pride Park, has pledged to retain the 430 staff who work at the hotels.
It has said it may recruit a further 115 staff.
Travelodge has signed a 25-year lease on the properties and will now embark on a Pounds 10m investment programme to convert the hotels.
The majority of Mitchells and Butlers hotels have an adjacent pub. The deal does not include the pubs.
Instead both companies will work together to drive business towards the pubs and the hotels respectively.
Travelodge’s executive chairman, Grant Hearn, said: “This innovative deal highlights Travelodge’s excellent position coming out of the recession.
“I believe this deal also signifies a great move for Mitchells and Butlers as they refocus on value and growth from their core pub brands.”

Their word is their
Their word is their bond. They can be counted on to fulfill their obligations. A long time ago men and women didn?t have written contracts. Their word was their creed and it was good enough! Want favor to show up in unexpected places and times? Well, I must go back to the original question, What are you becoming? Are you faithful? Do you follow through with commitments? Are you trustworthy? Can you be counted on? Do you deal with people in a loving and kind way? Do people want to be around you?
Gifts and talents are great but, without character to sustain them, they really are a flash in the pan. Steadfast character, love and faithfulness open doors for favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. What could be better than that?

Why? Well could it
Why? Well could it be customer service has also taken a turn for the worst?
At the Boeing Corporation in their airline division it has been noticed that they have customer service awards all over their company and is hard to say who gave them these customer service awards, but it stands to reason that the reason they are plastered all over their business is to remind the employees that customer service is number one.
Meanwhile if you look at the number of orders that Boeing has received up and beyond those of Airbus you can see that there is a stark difference in the performance and results.

Fad diets tend to be so boring
Fad diets tend to be so boring that almost no one can stay on them for too long without enormous amounts of sacrifices. Rather than going on a fad diet, you should consider that a daily 30 minute walk makes more sense than almost any fad diet. This helps you maintain your weight loss over a long period of time, and when combined with a good and healthy diet, will speed up the weight loss process.
The simple fact is the only way to lose weight and still be healthy is to eat less and maintain daily physical activity. With fresh fruits and vegetables, fat-free or low-fat dairy, broiled meat, no fried food, and some daily physical exercise, you will find out that losing weight is pretty easy and best of all is healthy.
Fad diets are everywhere. Anyone can try them, but remember, fad diets are usually made for the short-run, they are not designed to become a way of life, and that?s why you should think twice before continuing, or even starting a fad diet.
